2010 Big Apple BBQ Fastpass on sale now!

hungry

They're on sale now BUT now they're charging a fee for the fast pass. It's $125 for a $100 value card. This stinks! What do they think? We're made of money?

    oh i totally agree steve. I went abvout 6 years ago and i wanted to run through the crowd with a machete...Look at the crowd on the website..who the hell would want to be in that..line after line after line....the horror. you couldnt pay me to go to that.

    I always go in the morning right when it opens. No crowds and no lines. I can eat BBQ in the morning. Yum!

    @Cheese: This is the Big Apple BBQ, the BBQ festival that happens in Madison Sq Park every year. See link above.

    I know a lot of people hate it but I like it for what it is. I always go with a plan and never have bad experiences like everyone else does.

    I can't help it. I love BBQ.

    i love bbq too, but the stuff you get at the fest isn't a true reflection of what you can get at the restaurant.(especially if it is hot as balls like it was a couple years ago)

    @Steve, I know this wouldn't be the same as actually going to the places. But I don't have the means to travel across the country for good BBQ. If they all come to me at once, then I'm going. Besides, like I said before, I always go in the morning when it is not crowded, there are no lines, and it isn't hot. That's the key along with the fastpass.

    but i heard hill country has a challenge to eat 2 lbs of meats plus sides, drink, and a cupcake and if you finish in 60 minutes, it's free.

    Wow, Steve likes to live in the past.

    I probably wouldn't do Big Apple BBQ either but that's because I'm not as passionate about BBQ food or willing to wake up earlier for it, which would mean I'd have to fight the crowds like everyone else if I wanted some. No thanks.

    i like BBQ chips, does that count?

    Well, whatever I don't finish at the Big Apple BBQ, I can take home. Where as for Hill Country, I'm timed and I'll have to pay when I don't finish it. And yes, I wouldn't be able to finish it. No doubt.

    @KC: KC Masterpiece BBQ Chips?
