so this is all just one storefront, what's the name? I don't remember seeing it before.

It's 2 BROS Pizza corner of 38th and 8th Ave. Right next to it along 38th Ave is the Mexican spot.
Pizza was OK. The line was long but went really fast. $2.75 for 2 slices and a can of soda (tax included). All slices are $1.
As for the Mexican spot, I ordered 3 steak soft tacos (lettuce, sour cream, cheese, salsa included)... they were also OK but did not include tax ($3.25 and each taco was $1).
Not saying it's the best food around but you can't go wrong when you get 2 slices, 3 tacos, and a soda for 6 bucks!!
LOL.. I'll let you know if I have any ill affects from an el cheapo lunch tomorrow.

Darn, I used to work right by there. With Go Go Curry right there, Djerdan on the block, Popeyes and Labeleca chicken parm subs just up the street, etc.--Definitely a key ML lunching mecca!

a "steak" taco for $1. what kind of meat? sewer rat?
-
@Steve - LOL... I thought that was what they served Downtown.

@stevenp:
you forgot little morroco
-
rat tacos? so if they have chicken, it must be pigeon then!
or if it's steak, maybe you're looking at U.S. Select grade? Or even lower that you find it in cat food? ;P

Yup, Morocco is good. But I only discovered it after I left the area. Where they at 39th ST first half of 2008?

I'm really sad that my first thought was "Shill" and no one else said that. I must be turning cynical hanging with all y'all midtown types

Walked by the 38th and 8th yesterday and noticed two signs for a new pizza place and a new tex mex spot.
On on of the signs $1 pizza! On the other $1 hard shell tacos! $3 burritos??
Let's go!! I'll see how they taste today and let everyone know. I think I'm gonna make a pizza and taco gordita. Can't go wrong spending $5 for 2 slices, 2 tacos, and can of soda for lunch.
