They were handing out samples on the street--maybe somewhere on Broadway in the 30s? It wasn't 8 oz I don't think, but I got the effect. I second the "small amount of coffee" criticism, and the whipped cream was all for show. I wouldn't spend money on it....but I'm cheap when it comes to coffee.
