Have Any Of You Tried The Ambizza Cafe Truck?

I’ve walked by the Ambizza Cafe Truck that’s been parked at Old Slip & Water, but haven’t had the chance to try it. There was a substantial line there yesterday and a glance at the menu shows they do meat kebabs and “the city’s best kofta” as well as a lamb burger & fries for a cheap price. Has anyone tried food from this truck? I might have to check it out, simply because I don’t want to miss out on the best kofta this city has to offer.

  • Tried the falafel… found it to be bland compared to other spots.

  • I have eaten there a few times – they are incredibly nice and the food has been consistantly good! I wanted a gyro platter but they were out when I went at 2pm. The lady recommended the Kofta platter instead and it was delicious! I had to wait a bit for them to cook the kofta but totally worth the wait!

Thanks guys. I think I’m going to have to try the kofta next week…for research.

  • I’ll have to give this another shot now. My experience was pretty average, no better than a std cart.

  • i love the chicken platter. its not a bad deal with rice, pita, hummus, salad and soda or water for 8 bucks.
