@dbtron: GUAVA EMPANADAS? As in dessert empanadas? I’ve never even seen that on the menu. And now I’m going to go get 10 of them.

Grotto definitely has the best zeppoles we’ve tried down here. The small bag can feed an entire Mormon family.

I’m sad but glad someone else shares in my DOWN-downtown pain.

@veebee – I swear I saw Gloria’s cart there recently, but since they’re doing all of that crazy construction around there maybe they moved temporarily. I’ll try to find out.

Another Sophie-phile! Have you had the Guava(!!) empanadas?

I need to try these zeppolis.. I’m a dessert guy at heart. I <3 all doughnuts.

Unfortunately for us south-as-south can be downtowners,Choza, and Tajin are our best bets. Tajin does deliver as well.
