@ Zach – Haha, I just noticed this comment now when I came back to check to make sure Daniel liked this place. AM I THAT OBVIOUS? :P Rather not have the raging liberals breathe down my back for disagreeing with some of the things they believe. But back to the food…
I actually purposely planned on going here today because of my upcoming meat-fast, and I see that Daniel kindly mentioned Thursday’s special is bacon stuffed. There is no doubt in my mind that I am going to be eating that. I will report back… with tears of joy, I bet. *swoon

Sheep Station in Park Slope does a good Aussie Burger – the beet is thin and doesn’t compete with the meat, pineapple is included, and the egg just puts it over the top. It’s a mess to eat but tasty as heck.

Fun write-up but this is not my kind of burger: Brioche buns get too soggy IMHO, the patty looks to thick, and a slab of roasted beet is just wrong. The burger at Irving Mill is still my favorite in the city (so far — I just heard that Blue 9 Burger, a half a block from my apt, is as close to In-n-Out as you can get. And I’ve never been!!) Anyway.

Downtown Luncher – I’m not sure about the ingredients in the special sauce but it was tasty.. and I did the burger medium rare, which is usually the way to go with a good burger in my opinion.

A real Aussie burger also has a slice of pineapple. And yes, all the ingredients ARE necessary! Check out some of the Aussie places around town for a ‘real’ Aussie burger. It is quite the tasty assembly!
