Pre-Downtown Lunch Alert
Daniel’s review will be up shortly, but if you’re downtown and looking for a good lunch today, somebody just emailed me this: “There’s an Indian street festival featuring a variety of Indian foods in the Financial District” from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m on Maiden Lane/South St. What stop on the subway is that? I wonder if I could make it down there and back to Midtown in an hour…

I had no problems, though most of the food wasn’t Indian, wound up getting stuff from Brick Lane Curry House (I’ve been to the restaurant a few times). $5, and just enough to fill me up (rice + chicken tikka masala, and because I saw it AFTER, rice + tandoori chicken, $5 each). Also a woman outside the booth was giving out 2-for-1 flyers for the restaurant :) score!
Wall Street on the 2/3, get off and walk towards the Water. See you there!
