I know how many Crescent City fans there are here, so I thought you might be interested in reading Gothamist’s profile of the chef from the newly opened Bourbon St. Bar & Grille (on 46th btw. 8+9th.)  I hate restaurant row, but I’m starting to warm up to this place.  It’s not in the ML price or location range, but they have great after work drink specials (all fancy cocktails are $5 until 8pm) and their hurricane is palatable (especially for the happy hour price.)  I can also confirm that their red beans and rice is the real deal.
