Fusion 9th is About to Go Full Thai

Because 9th Ave didn’t have enough Thai places already, Isan Authentic Thai Cuisine has swooped into the Fusion 9th space (on 9th btw. 36+37th). No longer an empty, abandoned shell, the insides had people swarming around and decorating. Unless the Fusion 9th people took out the appliances and kitchen equipment, it looks like Isan will be good to go pretty soon.

They’ve decked out the inside really, really bright. The paper umbrellas are all over the inside, too. No info yet as to if they’re owned by the same people who owned Fusion 9th (formerly T.S. Ma, still in operation in Jersey) or if they do Thai better/different than the 9,001 Thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen/Midtown Southwest. We’ll stay Thaied down to this place and get a review as soon as we can say “Aww, Phuket all.”

  • Everybody knows you never go Full Thai. You don’t buy that? Yul Brynner, King & I, 1956. Went Full Thai, lost best picture to Around the World in 80 Days.
