I GET IT, but I'll join in on the (more PG-rated) fung;

If only it was served with a room temperature glass of Yoghurppe, I'd be down: http://buildingmybento.wordpress.com/2012/07/26/japanese-weirdness-english/

Calm down there, Officer Joe. I'm pretty sure that everyone here is well aware that one of the many names for rapini is "broccoli rape". It was just slightly funny to those of us with a sense of humor that this restaurant put up a huge sign that says RAPE. Maybe the ignorance lie with those who cannot laugh at the absurd.

Ignorance reigns again. The green vegetable is known as “cime (pronounced CHEE-meh) di rape” in Italy. Italian-Americans came up with the dialectical and bastardized “broccoli rob” pronunciation. Many “Italian” restaurants were squeamish about putting “rape” on their menus. But these are the places that still serve lemon rind with espresso.

The low-budget production house Sarah's Kitchen Fantasies just released its newest fetish film. SPOILER ALERT: involves handcuffs, blindfolds, a windowless food truck, and LOTS of warm olive oil. It's sizzling.
