Midtown Lunch

So everyone’s aware that Korilla BBQ’s truck is doing the Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race,” yes? The second season is currently in production with the teams racing around the country hoping to make it to the next round, all to win some cash money. Well, this past weekend the remaining teams made a pit stop in Manhattan, Kansas aka “The Little Apple” and a tipster sent along these photos.  And if you thought lines were big in the Big Apple, check out these lines in the Little Apple.

Korilla BBQ was spotted in Kansas so we know they at least make it to the top four! The four trucks that rolled into Manhattan to park at Kansas State were Korilla, Hodge Podge from Cleveland, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese from Boston, and The Lime Truck from California. Lines were crazy long, like “you guys would be blowing up the forums” long.

From the looks of this massive plate of food, Korilla is bringing their A game and representing our fair city well. No word on whether they made it on the next round or not, but we hope they did. A Twitter search reveals that they’re on their way to Memphis.

Korilla 2.0, which launched last week, is in the shop.  But they still have one truck on the streets of NYC (so I guess this means they have 3 trucks!?)  As always, check their Twitter or the ML Twitter Tracker to play along.
