Times Square Soliciting Food Vendors (Again?)
Times Square Alliance has announced that they will be taking proposals from businesses who are interested in selling food in the lawn chair area of Times Square. They’re hoping to launch these kiosks by summertime for a one year tryout. Not sure how this is different from a similar request last spring that never materialized, but if it happens this time we hope they choose something good! [via Eater]

heard about it on the news this morning. they want to turn the pedestrian plazas into outdoor dining areas. so if it is on the morning news does that mean it is more of a possibility? it was channel 2
