Midtown PSA: Please Be Careful Getting Home Tonight
If you don’t plan on being part of the problem this evening, then we here at Midtown Lunch would like to personally wish you a safe journey home. And it’s not just drunkards you’ll need to avoid… now that Shamrock Shakes have been spotted at the Times Square McDonald’s, you’ll want to watch out for green vomit as well. Godspeed!

Where’s that big, gutter-washing rain now that we need it? The St. Patrick’s Day parade is a high school truant officer’s dream (or nightmare as it were). Every year on this parade day you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting an underage drunk nuisance. Good times in the big city.

It’s pretty funny how half the town is covered in stupid green necklaces and costumes, drunk off their asses, and mingling with everyone else on a normal day at work.
Every other city I’ve celebrated St Paddy’s day in chooses a side: ignore or shut everything down and get drunk.

Well, a big part of that half of the town hails from out of town, anyway. It’s like New Year’s Eve, without so many police officers and National Guardsmen.
