@stevenp have you ever been to Taqueria y Fonda la Mexicana on the UWS? They’ve been remodeling their main space, but their next door space is open — best Mexican food I’ve had in NYC, possibly ever!

a) next to Yushi, and
b) in the Park Ave area in midtown,

RockCenter–are you perhaps thinking of Zocalo? The GCT directory (http://grandcentralterminal.com/go/dirListing.cfm?FL=All) doesn’t list Oaxaca as a tenant.

Chipotle, Qdoba, and Baja Fresh are nothing but generic chain food. I hope this one is different. Give me a real hole-in-the-wall Mexican place or Taco Bell instead!

Hey Zach,

There is an Oaxaca in Manhattan; the restaurant’s in the Grand Central Terminal food court. I personally haven’t tried it, but my brother (who makes the reverse commute everyday…ouch) highly recommends it.
