My only complaint against Toastie’s are the prices, most subs are around $8-9 which means if you add anything on it’s going to put you around $10 for a hero. That’s alot when you’re just eating Boar’s Head. What can we expect from Midtown though?

I’m not going to come out and lay heavy praise on Toastie’s, because like baykon says, it’s really just a Lenny’s rip-off, but the sandwiches are a little bit better than Lenny’s.

Pshinnyc was on to something with the “Union Square,” that’s a solid sandwich.

Not a fan of the pastrami/corned beef though, the one time I had it the flavor was right for non-kosher style but the texture was tough and gristly (that’s an awful word).

I second the review request for the one on 48th between mad and 5th. I don’t know if they all have it but their hot food section in the back is unbelievable.

I was extremely skeptical until coworkers dragged me there but in the back they have a whole slew of homemade meats that are phenomenal. The sandwiches are huge and they put a ton of stuff on, one large is enough for two people. Also I may be strung up for saying this but they have some of the best pastrami I’ve tried.

I do not give these sort of accolades lightly, trust me on this one zach, you won’t be disappointed.
