I’m going to boldly give props to the community building this website generates… even if Adamprato and his bud were laughing at me for being left with nothing but veggie options at the El Ray cart (how humilating!!) it was really a blast to talk face-to-face with Midtown Lunch’ers.. plus even the El Ray cart workers were having a blast.. they loved hearing about the website and seemed so appreciative that crowds came out to order today (don’t worry, supposedly they were waiting for a restocking shipment to comeby within a few minutes.. but i couldn’t wait). They even pointed out the Red Hatted Mexican Warrior, as i call him (although not to his face) and said they loved teasing him with the “Mucha Lucha” tag now.

By the way, next week’s profiled Lunch’er should be the Greek Hotdog Lady.. she actually has a bit of style to her look. :>

Around 1:30, all they had left was cheese. They did say that someone was supposed to be bringing more food but wasn’t there yet.

Thats the power of midtownlunch.com!!! By the time I got there (1:10) they had only Chicken. I got the last of it. Jeff AKA Peter Parker got there just after me and they had no meat left so he had to pass. They better stock better for the midtownlunch crowd.

Just got back from El Rey. Mean looks from vendor next door. Kind of disappointing lunch. No sopes. No Al pastor. Only chicken and beef. Chicken was dry, not seasoned. Beef was better but overall very average. Is this standard for them?

I went for lunch early, around 11:45am and took 4 co-workers with me. There was already a line. They are back and said they were there to stay. No Chorizo today though.
