i work in the theater district too. my most favorite restaurant (though out of midtown lunch range) is Toloache (50th b/w bway and 8th). I’ve been there several times and each time i go it is delicious! for a cheaper fix – try the kati rolls at spice fusion (8th ave b/w 47th and 48th).

This is a few blocks away, but it’s a fave for pre-theater dinner, for my friends and I: Sapporo – W 49th b/t 6th and 7th ave. I want to see Rock of Ages!

Shimizu on 51st between 8th and 9th has great sushi and other Japanese dishes. It’s more expensive than the ML criteria but it’s good.

Ocha Sushi. 350 West 46th Street. BY 8th Avenue. Great lunch specials and better the Aoki. Good delivery service.

I’ll have to try some of these places!

Last time I was in the city I ate at a Thai place called Q2 Thai on 9th Ave 52nd/53rd I loved the Vegetable Dumplings, Spring Rolls, and Drunken Noodles. I’m a Vegetarian, so I liked that they had some veggie dishes.

Not exactly a crepe and not exactly that close to the theater but try getting the scallion pancakes at any of the Korean joints on 32nd st (Won Jo, etc).

Also, I’m not sure it’s on their regular menu or if you are allergic (considering your shrimp allergy) but I had a mussel pancake at Pongsri Thai (48th st and 23rd st locations) with a chili dipping sauce that was pretty awesome.

Maisey and I share the same birthday- didn’t know we share a love for crepes as well.

I love the food, the staff and the ambiance at the Brasserie Athenee on the corner of 46th and 8th- sooo close to the Brooks Atkinson theater and open 7 days until 1 a.m. It’s especially fine for a quiet after-show/stage door meal.
