ElizB, thank you for the clarification although I feel bad you had to explain yourself to a blog-troll like myself.

"Doctor E" is a prison guard and is sized to play nose tackle in the NFL. Think Coach Ballbreaker in Porky's, only much larger and less pleasant. She thinks the cavity searches she does on prisoners makes her a proctologist. On the weekends, she does laser hair removal on household pets.

Prato, DocChuck was doing business regularly in NYC at least 50 years BEFORE you got off the boat. How little you obviously know about the real world. Matter of fact, my wife (Doctor E.) and I were in your area just last Tuesday, unfortunately.

And, no, Liz I have not, but I will keep it in mind on our next trip to the area (in about four weeks).

ElizB. HAHAHAHAH

DocChuck09 isn't in NYC. He's only on this blog to make fun of those of us from "New Yawk City" and our "obsession" with cheap food, steam tables, and streetcarts. Search google for DocChuck some time :) His favorite pasttime involves harassing food bloggers :)

Thanks for the nice comments about the site, guys! And for the pho recommendations.

StreetMeasOnsumer3008: You're probably right about the Chinatown thing. (Though I do like the rice crepes with grilled pork chops on L'Annam's cheapo lunch menu.)

El Dubya El: I only avoid steam tables in delis because I've been sick from them more than once (the sneeze guard can do only so much, you know?). At a wedding, though, I show no such restraint.

Rudy McBagel: I'm a charter member of the Fergus Henderson fan club. Love offal.

DocChuck09: Fried chicken is one of my weaknesses! Have you had it at egg in Williamsburg? Best in the city, in my book.

Fred, as Zach said here - http://midtownlunch.com/2009/01/22/7th-ave-turkish-mainstay-sahara-grill-closes/

@ben - “Like” is a strong word. I’m just afraid of banning him, and then having him come and kill me.</blockquote>

That seems prudent...

Speaking of watching too much television, the Gibbs character was once asked what Ducky looked like when he was younger, and his reply was "Illya Kuryakin"

Adam, the only thing that has stopped DocChuck from verbally defecating on other websites/blogs - mainly but not exclusively food-related - is to ban him and/or his ip address. The vast majority of blogs he has befouled with his mere presence have already done so. Off the Broiler will even delete comments merely referencing him. Zach seems to have taken a liking to him, tho I doubt he'd agree to meet him in person - but as a result, we're stuck with him.

Fred, every time we get trolled, an angel loses its wings, or a kitten dies, or, I don't know. Something awful. I just wish chris6sigma were right. Whether we feed the troll by acknowledging him, or by actively ignoring him, the troll grows stronger.
