Went there today for the first time. Wontons were very good, although the soup was pretty bland. I had the Thai Basil Chicken, and it may be the best Asian food I've had in Midtown (with apologies to Hing Won!) This place deserves your business.

Hey, that sounds pretty good. Cream baby corn soup is probably similar to creamed corn from a can, btw. If the owners are Cantonese or spent time in HK eating/working at HK style cafes, there's usually a soup like that at those places. Sometimes it's thinned out a bit with broth or water and other times it's thickened, chicken pieces added and served over white rice... heh.

Wow, the pictures are making me salivating. I don't know how it taste, but it sure does look good! I actually want to try out this place.

I also usually prefer dive-like/ cheap hole in the wall over fancier. At least the food looks decent, BUT Portions could be a bit larger? I can't stand for that unless the food is mad tasty. It's the food and portions that matters when grubbin' asian cuisine. lol.

I agree with the decor. As a Downtown Luncher, My picks for chinese food involve dingy hole in the wall restuarants that always have a line out the door. Screw the decor- gimme some good chinese!!
