In the finals its really not going to matter whether you did it in 30sec or a minutes, it will be strictly capacity, in a 15 min contest there will be a lot of eaters staring at their bowls praying for the finish bell to ring and end the misery, but not me

Not BSing about saturday. This guy was thin and wearing a bright yellow polo. I dont think hes participating he just wanted to see how fast he could do it. He said he didnt want to ruin the competition. He was really quiet and modest and ate both walks in one bite each. scooped it in his mouth and swallowed it. I think he probably finished it in 30 seconds. I didnt catch how fast he did it but it was amazing.

Don’t know if anyone heard but there was this asian guy at GoGo yesterday at around 8:00pm who might have finished in under a minute. The officials tried to convince him to participate in the contest but he refused and wanted to unofficially participate. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. He finished both walks in under a minute and looked complete unphased. After hearing his time of under a minute he casually went on to eat some more curry with his party. It was probably the most insane thing I have ever seen. I don’t know what that Japanese hot dog champion looks like but could he have come and participated in this? but was not allowed to OFFICIALLY enter because of IFOCE rules?

… honestly if you’re going to enter a speed eating contest why are you not even trying and taking small mouthfuls? do you expect to enjoy the taste of it at the same time during a speed trial? don’t want to be offensive but i find it ridiculous that your going to complain about don lerman being allowed to enter while your attempt seems rather half-assed. To don: I plan to give you a run for ur money! I ate the world champion size(5.5lbs) in 30 min the other day and had dessert afterwards! be prepared~
