Another option for bread is to pick up a Cosi on your way in, if you're lucky enough to pass one. I asked, and they sold me a piece for a dollar. Still warm, it made a great foil for my own sandwich, with Niman Ranch Applewood Smoked Ham from Murray's Salami and a 2-year Gouda from their cheese counter.

Too much going on there. With such fine ingredients, one should allow each to stand on its own...can you really enjoy the quality and nuance of each component as currently constructed?

I'm sure it was tasty--but this sandwich would benefit from addition by subtraction. But that's one man's opinion.

So what we are seeing here is that you really need a Midtown Lunch'in mé·nage à trois to satisfy the salami challenge, right?

The artichoke at the end just made it look super luxurious. I might have to wait a few weeks before trying a sandwich. Gotta tone it down for a few days after thanksgiving.

@sickchangeup - As much as it pains me to justify the existence of "Sarah Hellerman" - I will respond to the comment. We made 3 sandwiches for $27- one for me, one for my friend dan, and the third one went to my friend Taylor who owns the Brooklyn Kitchen.
