I for one am a huge fan of Pongsri, and feel obligated to come to their defense. Their curries are totally awesome - and haven't changed a bit in the 7 consecutive years I've been going there. At a price that clocks in lower than most McDonald's value meals (and certainly lower than most hifalutin "fancy" deli sandwiches), I'm shocked to see any complaints here. Sure it's no Wondee Siam, but there is a definite, distinct, and permanent place in my heart (and lunch rotation) for Pongsri.

I used to frequent Pong Sri a few years ago and it used to be fantastic, I would even say exceptional. Then I went off to work in other places for a few years before finally landing back in Midtown. I went back to Pong Sri and found it to be totally different - that's not to say bad overall, but absolutely nothing like what it used to be. Now it's just average (although still cheap). I was crushed. I could be wrong, but I thought I saw evidence of new ownership.

@dougiec Pad See Ew doesn't normally come spicy at all. But you can ask for additional pepper condiments, and they'll give you about 4 different kinds (for various dishes). The vinegar one with the green peppers goes well with pad see ew.
