I’ve eaten at Tad’s plenty of times. never got sick, always enjoyed it.

and always get the flavor juice because its great on the bread. sometimes the steaks have odd gristley parts but just don’t eat that 1/4 of the steak.

and I always get the blue cheese dressing and it usually has a chunk of a white blue cheesy tasting thing in it…

I am not a big poster but so long MTL! We are moving to 7WTC and I won’t be eating here again…

What the hell?

It sounds like you had a great lunch. I ate at Tad’s twice back in the 1990’s and had such a great experience that I looked it up online just to reminisce. I live in Eastern NC now and all the have down here is fastfood and BBQ.
If your part of the 1% of the population that can eat a Morton’s for lunch then go screw yourself. Tad’s is a great place with a lot of character. You get more then you pay for! You can’t find it anywhere else!!!

Ive been eating at Tad’s for about 20 years, maybe once every couple of years and I’m not dead yet. I don’t go to the city often and consider it a treat. Love the garlic bread and I splurge for the tbone. The atmosphere is really tacky thought. I’m not the usual patron, because we usually go for Peter Luger, Morton’s or Burton and Doyle. Call me nuts but I love to go to Tad’s when I’m in the city.

I’ve eaten at Tad’s since the ’70s. Always had the strip steak and always enjoyed it. Yes it’s cheap, but where else are you going to get a steak in Manhattan for that price? My only real complaint is they always seem to water down the salad dressing. I prefer the 34th St location to those further uptown. But I remember when they had a spot on 14th St across from Klein’s and THREE separate restaurants on 42nd St.

This is the best post of all time. I had Tad’s about 3 months ago and it wasn’t bad. I declined the flavor grease, but now I might have to go back.

i order a no.6 it was papper thin and it cost me 13 dollors plus tax.i will go there again.Tad use to be good.

My mom used to take me here back in the 80s’, then we would go to the Times Square movie house…needless to say, my mom was a new immigrant to this country
