I have a very special place in my heart for Yum Thai because it was my very first Thai experience. I was sad to see it close down. Thai food is now a must have for me at least twice a week. Since then I've tried countless Thai places. Sure Pongsri is good but if you just want to order in give Siam Inn NY a try. They have the best everything! I assure you the pad see ew is one of the best you've ever had. There is something about the way they prepare their chicken so give anything w/ chicken a try: the red curry, pad thai etc. Oh one last thing, the thai iced tea is great. They give it to you in a plastic container. The funny part is they measure it so the thai iced tea fits exactly to the top of cup with ice they give you. I've never actually dined there but for those of you who would like to it's on 51st and 8th. I’ll have to agree Yum Thai was a midtown go to spot for Thai. It's hands down my favorite Pad See Ew (and Thai place in general) in Midtown. It's the offshoot of Pam Real Thai, which is 2 blocks up, but has a much better atmosphere. Never crowded at lunch, so it's guaranteed to be quick sit-down service. And even with tip and tax, most dishes come in under $10.
