I love Woorijip. I often grab the eel over rice (comes with some nice greens and some egg), if I get there before they run out, and just eat it cold. There are loads of good vegetarian options, too. Sometimes I get a pancake sampler and a package of blood sausage (served with dipping salt and raw cabbage), and eat them together over two days' lunches. I wouldn't want to eat just the blood sausage by itself, but it's tasty when you add the variety of pancakes. Those are a bit greasy but delish--the sampler has seafood, veggie, and kimchee versions. The line can be long but it moves pretty quickly.

"First, I like to grab one thing for under $5. Usually it is the kimchee or beef kimbap, but you can grab anything. Then, you go to the by the lb. buffet and take one bite of each thing that looks good."

I guess I'm being more dense than usual today but at first I didn't realize you meant take one bite size serving of each thing that looks good and put it in your container. My initial interpretation is more economical (assuming you don't get caught and have to post bail).

I've loved that place for years - great for dinner after an insane, post-work shopping trip to macy's, and also an awesome, 2 stops on the orange line trains from rock ctr lunch joint.

one of the best things to get next time you're there (if they have it - it's not stocked all the time) is the the radish soup. the radishes are buttery and soft and the broth is spicy goodness. yum.
