same here! i scoured the paper looking for them for months now. it seems like they went on hiatus. hopefully they’re back for a while. last time they ran them every tues and thurs.

Nooooooo! You mean I paid $8-9 for a stupid retarded sandwich today (and they ran out of the lobster rolls) for NO REASON?! I’ve bene hunting for months in the AMNY to find those coupons but I’ve never seen one so I feel like I’m just not looking hte right places… anyone have a picture or something scanned so I can figure out wtf it looks like? Thanks… I’ll totally owe someone big time for that… *sniffles* Thanks for the tip though “gelato for me”

PS Since I didn’t get my lobster roll today, I will be going back to Cosi so I will be the crazy girl running around collecting all the AMNY…!

Park Italian is totally over-hyped. And after the miserable service the past few times, I’m never going back. The last time I was there, the grouchy sandwich maker was giving me attitude and rolling his eyes after screwing up my sandwich when I asked him to fix it. I’ll take my money elsewhere, thanks.

PIG is all about the meats. Sopressata, Salami, Pepperoni, Capicola, etc. PLUS the always great fresh mozzarella (which they run out of quick!). Hot plates are OK, but the cold cuts set PIG apart from the rest – a real italian deli. I’ve heard the Reuben is unbelievable as well…

I totally agree with DDR – went to Park Italian a few weeks ago and was not impressed. Not horrible but I just don’t get the hype.

And Jim – Yes, Tony “The Dragon” Dragonas’s chicken platter is awesome and the portion is huge too. As usually the case with great carts, the line can be very long but very worth the wait it if you have time.

the gelato in front of park italian is awesome. plus the old guy who sometimes serves it has that old country charm. intimidating but endearing.

Zach, any comments about the New York Mag street vendor piece? How have I not heard about this guy on 62nd and Madison? Is he outside of the midtown lunch borders? If a guy is as good as that write-up I think he should get some kind of amnesty/exemption.

Sort of annoying that the top five have to all be in Jackson Heights. I think there’s some reverse borough snobbery happening there…

lol, I thought that said “nice balls” and I’m like, what? Gosh, I must be more tired than I thought. Sleepless nights catching up to me, but anyway… I figured out where I want to work after my friend’s office moved. After work, step outside and you’re… at St. Mark’s. Tons of cheap Japanese food, izakayas, Indian nearby, great scene, and it’s pretty much where I hang out so I would totally always be on time…

PS Cosi now has lobster rolls!!!
