I haven't seen that croque monsieur truck since that one day in January when I walked past it carrying my less desirable lunch back to the office. However, I do have news of another Midtown West oasis... A new awesome burger place called "Vizio" on 55th between Broadway and 8th Ave (next to where the Soup Nazi used to be). Anyway, it is run by this charming man who seems intent to please his customers. He easily accomplishes this goal by offering not only hamburgers, but other sandwiches like pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, Kobe (for $11.95, I'm skeptical...), Bison, Ostrich, and "Turkey filet mignon with pancetta". He's serves these with hand-cut fries or sweet potato fries. The place has been open for a few weeks, but nobody knows about it yet. I think I'm going to go try the pulled pork today!

Dude, why don't you post YOUR OWN pictures to the Flickr group too! Sometimes I want to get a close-up of something and it's all hard to find.
